What is hypnotherapy and what are the benefits?
Hypnotherapy helps to treat many different issues from stress, anxiety, phobias and fears to confidence building, blushing, giving up smoking, losing weight and much more. It works by accessing our unconscious minds where all our emotions and behaviours are stored. Unlike other forms of therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy often works rapidly to help you make changes, as you are harnessing the most powerful parts of your mind to bring about change.
You’ve probably seen stage hypnosis at some time? Well, clinical hypnotherapy is not the same – if you are watching someone who has been hypnotised on stage, it may appear as though they don’t know what’s happening to them.
With hypnotherapy you are aware of everything the whole of the time – and that’s exactly how it should be. You may, or may not, be able to remember everything afterwards – but at the time you will hear everything that is said.
Everyone is different – some people go into a very deep trance and remember nothing at all afterwards, others remain in a light trance, which can work equally well as a deep one – but – more often than not – people drift into different levels of conscious awareness and remember parts of the experience.
After the hypnosis session the only differences you may be aware of is that you feel more relaxed than usual – and you will feel differently about whatever it is you are seeking treatment for.
Appointments can be made for us to meet in a comfortable setting in Melton Mowbray or I can offer home visits within a 25 mile radius.
How will I support you and how will you benefit from it?
I will work with you to support with whatever you would like to work on, to help you to solve your problems and to take control of your life. Working together to get you from where you are now, to where you want to be in your life.
As a professionally qualified Hypnotherapist, I am fully committed and dedicated to support you to make positive changes in your life which you will find empowering in a caring, supportive, practical and confidential way.
What does hypnotherapy do and how does it work?
You can never be made to say, or do, anything you don’t want to – and if I or anyone else were to give you suggestions that you didn’t morally approve of – you would come out of hypnosis.
You will never give away any secrets – or be made to act in any derogatory way.
You are in control – but at the same time you are also very deeply relaxed.
During this relaxed state – your subconscious mind is open and receptive to the suggestions given to you – providing they are the suggestions that you consciously want to take effect.
You will be able to hear everything during the hypnosis session – you’ll be aware of outside noises and movements – this is perfectly normal because you are in a heightened state of awareness in hypnosis.
I will ask you to visualise certain things – now, if you can’t actually see them – please don’t worry – we are all different and we will discuss openly how best I can help you throughout the process.
After the hypnosis session the only differences you may be aware of is that you feel more relaxed than usual – and you will feel differently about whatever we are working on to help you achieve a more contented life.

How I Work
I work in a very professional yet approachable way. I like to deliver treatment in a way that I like to work with a therapist; to feel at ease, comfortable, to be able to ask questions and feel that it is a process where we are working together to find a solution.#
As I think it’s important to establish a good working relationship right from the beginning, I find it useful to have a 15 minute chat to discuss the issues you would like support with and to work out a plan of action from there.
Therefore, I offer a free 15 minute consultation by telephone or you can text me or email me if you prefer. We can then discuss how many sessions you may need and how best I can support you.
Payment can be made on the day at the beginning of the session in cash or prepayment can be made via PayPal, a cancellation fee of 50% session fees applies if less than 24 hours notice given.
